What right wing violence?

Holy shit, things are starting to get real. I hope everyone stays safe, on the lookout, and the creepy bastards that could have killed someone are caught.

No, stuff like this isn't funny. Bombing people is never funny.

Odd:

Smoke bomb closed N.B.-Maine border Sunday

A 22-year-old Canadian with a homemade smoke bomb in his car closed the Canada- U.S. border for two hours Sunday, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Monday in a release.

An Ontario man was stopped when he tried to cross the Canada-U.S. border with a smoke bomb in his car.An Ontario man was stopped when he tried to cross the Canada-U.S. border with a smoke bomb in his car. (CBC)Trevor Hickerson, 22, of Trenton, Ont., was returning home from the Bay of Fundy area, through Maine when he was stopped by the border agency.

He was charged with the transportation of fireworks by the Maine State Fire Marshal's Office. He will appear in court in December on that charge, which carries a possible fine of $1,000 and six months in jail.

Hickerson told investigators he made the smoke bomb in case he became lost in the woods so he could signal rescuers.

Gee, coincidence? I go out in the woods all the time, but I have never taken a freakin' smoke bomb with me. Flashlights, toilet paper - no smoke bombs.

Witnesses said that table lifted a foot off the ground.

Witnesses said that table lifted a foot off the ground.

They're lucky it went off under a table.....from the story it sounds like it was thrown and just happened to roll under. Sounds like this thing really could've done some damage had it landed in the right spot

Gatorade bottle and aluminum foil. Clearly what we have here is a "Drano bomb."

A plastic bottle is filled with concentrated sodium hydroxide (ie. Drano) and crumpled foil is added and the top screwed on. As hydrogen gas is generated the pressure and heat builds until the container suddenly bursts, showering the immediate area with boiling caustic material.

It's not lethal, but if it got it someones eyes it could cause instant blindness.
Good thing the table blocked most of the nasty stuff and no one was hurt.

Wow. That's nasty fucking shit.

Depending on the far the reaction progressed--and I don't have the gas laws chops to estimate--a Drano reaction in a closed container would create near-boiling or boiling water, and potentially ammonia as well as hydrogen. So risks of chemical burns, scalding, and inhalation of corrosive agents.

Vicious.
